This Sunday, 13th of October, we want to take time to focus on all the blessings that we have received from God and thank him for them. Please come prepared to express your thanks in one way or another. We live in a fallen world, that’s why all of us have things in our lives that are negative. Nevertheless, we all have a choice as to what we focus our attention on. The apostle Paul writes in one of his letters: “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18) That is a powerful piece of advice. Paul has experienced how God’s power totally transformed a desperate set of circumstances when he and Silas decided to praise God in a dungeon after being flogged and abused (see Acts 16:16-35). Thanksgiving is always appropriate. So come and join in the praise and thanksgiving this Sunday.
