Announcement re Leadership Changes

Dear All,
It was not long ago that Pastor Erich Fischer informed the Church Leadership Team of his decision to step down as Pastor of Nazarene Community Church Greystones, having felt the leading of God to resign. Pastor Erich has served as the pastor of this church since November of 2008. He along with Iris, and their children: Samuel, Jonathan & David will be greatly missed. While Erich will no longer be our pastor, he, along with his family will remain in Ireland. Please join us in praying for God’s clear direction as they continue to navigate God’s continued direction in their lives.

Pastor Erich’s final Sunday as the Pastor of our church will be Sunday, August 31st. Watch for details of a “Celebration of Ministry” as we try to find a way to say thank you for his ministry in our midst. Pastor Erich has served as pastor for over five years and will leave a void that will not be easy to fill.
Be assured that your Church Leadership Team has already begun the process of trying to find someone to fill Pastor Erich’s shoes… not an easy task. However we’re confident that as God has released Erich from the call of being our Pastor, He also has someone He is preparing for the Greystones family.
We would encourage you over the next weeks to seek out Pastor Erich and his family and to share how they have ministered into your life and family. So often in ministry we don’t see the results of our faithfulness… what a gift it would be to share some of the ways Pastor Erich has impacted us… in ways he may not even know.
To Pastor Erich, Iris and the boys we say…(as you have often reminded us)
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
If you have any questions, about the road forward, please don’t hesitate to contact Stephen Morley, District Superintendent, Ireland or a member of the local Leadership Team. They would love to talk to you.
Looking back with thanks and forward with anticipation,
